Dr Buddhini Samarasinghe
Is a science communicator with a background in molecular biology and cancer research. Buddhini has authored a series of articles in Scientific American, titled “The Hallmarks of Cancer.” She provides science outreach through broadcasts on YouTube. Her science writing can be found at Jargonwall.

Professor Rajini Rao
Is a research scientist and Professor at Johns Hopkins University, where she runs the Rao Lab, which focuses on the role of ion transporters in human health and disease. She is also director of the Graduate program in Cellular and Molecular Medicine that trains scientists at the interface of basic and clinical research. Rajini chairs the Biophysical Society Committee on Professional Opportunities for Women (CPOW), which provides resources and organizes events that promote career development for both genders. Rajini is a community moderator for Science on Google+ and co-curator for Science Sunday.

Dr Zuleyka Zevallos
Has a PhD in Sociology. She is the Science Australia Gender Equity Project Manager for the Australian Academy of Science. Zuleyka’s research has focused on gender, sexuality and ethnic inequality, amongst other topics. She runs Sociology at Work, a not-for-profit network promoting applied social science. Zuleyka is an Adjunct Research Fellow with the Swinburne University. She is also is a community moderator for Science on Google+. Zuleyka writes about social inequality and public science on The Other Sociologist.
